Lockheed Martin Advances AI Integration in F-35 Fighter Jet
Lockheed Martin has achieved a significant breakthrough in military aviation by successfully conducting a flight test of an artificial intelligence-enhanced combat identification system on its F-35 fighter jet. This milestone, part of the company’s Project Overwatch, represents the first time a tactical AI model has been deployed in flight to autonomously generate a Combat ID that is displayed directly to the pilot.
