New Authorized PC-24 and PC-12 Service Center Opens in Lugano Agno
Pilatus has officially designated Dassault Aviation Business Services at Lugano Airport in Ticino as an Authorized Service Center for its PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft. This development expands Pilatus’s network of maintenance facilities within Switzerland, with the Lugano location primarily focusing on line maintenance services. This new center complements Dassault Aviation Business Services’ existing maintenance and repair operations for Pilatus business aircraft based in Geneva.
Enhancing Maintenance Support in Switzerland
The accreditation of the Lugano site is intended to offer PC-12 and PC-24 owners more rapid and flexible access to specialized maintenance services, thereby strengthening support for Pilatus aircraft in the region. André Zimmermann, Vice President Business Aviation at Pilatus, emphasized the growing global demand for the PC-12 and PC-24 Super Versatile Jet. He noted that the expansion of the support network, including the partnership with Dassault Aviation Business Services and the new Lugano facility, is expected to further enhance customer service.
Market Implications and Operational Challenges
The inauguration of the Lugano service center is likely to influence customer preferences, as operators may be attracted by the convenience and expertise available at this new location. However, this expansion introduces competitive pressures for existing local service centers, which may need to improve their service offerings or pursue strategic alliances to maintain their market positions. Establishing the new facility also entails considerable investment in infrastructure and skilled personnel, alongside the need to comply with regional regulatory requirements.
Despite these challenges, Pilatus and Dassault Aviation Business Services anticipate that the Lugano center will reinforce their standing in the Swiss business aviation sector, providing clients with enhanced access to high-quality maintenance and support for their Pilatus aircraft.
